We all have seen Robert Downey Jr AKA Iron Man’s workplace. Remember that apartment that was blown up by Mandarin’s goons in Iron Man 3? The basement had some pretty cool tech going on there! And while developers and tech enthusiasts continuously try to imitate what was shown, most of them are just fantasies till date. However, you might remember the screen projection by Jarvis. A similar screen projector recently turned heads in the United States market.

A company called Puppy Hachi (love the dog tho!) has come up with a mini projector that enables you to use any smooth surface as a full-fledged Android tablet. You heard that right! Before diving into details, the device uses a combination of cameras and proximity sensors, calculating an almost immediate response to your finger movements.
How does it look like?
They are marketing it as the mini interactive touch screen projector. The whole unit is not bigger than a crate of 12 eggs. All you have to do it set it up on a smooth surface; could be your dining table, office table, the kitchen panel and so on. It stands tall, just like any other cylindrical object on a table and projects through a section located near its top.

Lets read about the tech!
The Hachi projector is probably one of the most innovative gadgets launched this year. Despite of the premium price, tech fans would definitely go for it.
The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 AI enabled processor. It has 4GB of RAM and 64Gb of internal storage, just like any other tablet. It runs on a custom OS – Infinite 1.0, which is based on Android 9.0. The projection could brighten up as much as 500 ANSI Lumens, bright enough to work with on a bright day. It can project up to 100”, although it is not advisable to increase above 40”.
The projector senses the distance of the surface from the device and adjusts the focus itself. The resolution is still HD (1280*720), but for true tech lovers out there, it is not a trade off! Display clarity is not where this device focuses. It can also project content that is in 4K, by scaling it down a bit. The module also doubles up as a pretty decent speaker unit, weighing around 1.3kg.
It comes with the support of Miracast and Amazon Alexa as well. All in all, if you are someone who has dreamt of having a touch screen table at your office or home, this is a dream come true! It is pretty usable and practical. Do check the video linked below for more details.
