On an article written for Android Fist on 31st of December, 2020, I predicted the plans of OnePlus stepping into the fitness tracker market. Approximately two weeks later, here we are with the official launch of OnePlus Band. With the official launch on 11nth January 2021, the device would go for sale on 13nth on the popular e-commerce platforms like Amazon and Flipkart. At a price tag of ₹2,499, the OnePlus Band is directly in a clash with the Mi Band 5, the most successful fitness tracker in the Indian market.

Here Are The Specifications Of The OnePlus Band

The OnePlus Band is pretty much all the standard features that you would expect from a fitness tracker at this price range. Apart from having all the essential sensors, the OnePlus Band supports multiple exercises modes, including the classic outdoor run, cycling and dedicated mode for cricket as well. You can go through the sweaty workouts or swim sessions without a worry. The 5ATM water-resistant and IP68 rating got your covered.

One thing that the OnePlus Band has over other fitness trackers in this price segment is the Blood Oxygen Sensor. Combined with the proprietary application, the tracker would inform users of irregular heart rate or other health-related issues.

The tracker itself is detachable from its dual-colour silicon straps. You can customize the watch faces on the band (owing to the coloured AMOLED panel), and buy multi-coloured straps as well. One thing to note hear - the support for iOS devices would be included later through an update.
