Hey all! Tech With Shikhar live all the way from a room with four walls and one ceiling (oh, just realized there is nothing new about it!). Well, other than the fact that I had a weekly rest day today, nothing really is. I just watched Shang-Chi (I hope that is the right spelling), and I must say, the movie is quite ambitious in launching a new character to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Now, you must be wondering, what the duck is a Marvel movie doing on a tech-related website. Right? Well, it's created using some really sophisticated equipment which functions on a basic phenomenon called 'TECH' (sorry XD). That being said, let us jump into some quick updates about what is happening around in the tech world. Oh, and there would not be any detailed reports for today's shots, as I wasn't on desk today!

Tech Updates September 22, 2021 | Tech With Shikhar

1. I watched Shang-Chi today, and I liked it!

Thanks to this amazing fan-art by Nicolas Tetreault-Abel, I have a good image to include in this article! Nevertheless, I already mentioned that I watched the movie today and it was pretty good. It revolves around the story of a kid who is raised to be a mighty fighter. To add a pinch of superpowers, the movie also has the iconic ten rings, which can be used as all weapons including a rope-saw, a nan-chak, close cannon, and whatnot. You can definitely watch the movie. SPOILER ALERT - the post-credit scene has Dr. Bruce Banner, Wong, and Captain Marvel.

2. Cryptocurrency trading might be taxed in India, Ministry of Finance forms a committee to discuss the scope

Apparently, cryptocurrency in India has grown into a big thing. While traditional investors in the country chose gold and fixed deposits as a trusted option to put their money into, the digital currency market has grown by over 600% to become a multi-billion dollar industry. Yes, you head that right! India alone accounts for $6.6 billion in crypto investments. For perspective, that is about Rs. 50,000 crores.

The 'FOMO turned into a trend into an industry' is now being scouted by the government of India in the scope of taxation. Most likely, the transactions made on crypto platforms operating in India such as CoinDCX, Coinswitch Kuber will be taxed. Further, a Cryptocurrency Bill is about to hit the Winter Session!

3. Apple Users Will Be Able To Add Their Vaccination Status In Apple Health

As spotted in the iOS 15, Apple users will be able to update their vaccination status in the Apple Health application on iPhones. The status will be verified and can be used as proof of vaccination wherever required, like at the airports, movie halls, etc. The new feature will make use of International SMART Health Cards which is already in use in some parts of the world, including the United States.

In an upcoming software update, they can also choose to add verifiable COVID-19 vaccination records as a vaccination card in Apple Wallet to present to businesses, venues, and more ~ mentioned by Apple in an official post.

4. Apple iPhone 13's photograph looks hideous when compared to Samsung Galaxy Note 21 Ultra!

While this is not generally the case and I was quite surprised to see it myself, the image attached above is actually a screenshot from Mrwhosetheboss' YouTube video, where the tech reviewer with over 8 million subscribers compared both iPhone 13 Pro Max and Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra in a comprehensive camera comparison. While the reviewer could not conclude which smartphone is better (he literally concludes the video by saying "It depends"), this particular result is concerning. Nevertheless, the new iPhone still wins in video quality.

5. Flipkart Big Billion Days Sale Is Will Begin On October 7, 2021

So just like every other year, Flipkart is hosting the Big Billion Days Sale from October 7, 2021. While we are talking about sales, Amazon Great Indian Festival Sale will be out soon as well. So if you are planning to buy a gadget, clothes, appliance, cosmetics, furniture (they have so many categories :/), you might want to check out for bank deals, cashback, and exclusive discounts on the platform. Additionally, both sales will be available for loyal members (Amazon Prime subscribers and Flipkart Plus members) one day before being available to the rest of the world!

So that was it for today. All of these copies were written by me for me, not for any other portal or platform (as I was off desk today XD). Hope you like the post. Feel free to reach out to me via forms on the website. The other day I received an appreciation mail and it really motivated me. So yes, have a good night's sleep, a good night's BGMI gaming session, a good night's binge (everyone has their own definition of a good night XD).
